The Meal is about Johnny, a homeless person who has been tormented and bullied since childhood. Feeling the world is corrupt and sinful and that he has un-justly suffered the criticism and wrath of an uncaring society, Johnny has turned to the Bible for solice. He believes the Bible's words of "The meek shall inherit the earth" and "An eye for eye". Johnny waits for a message from God that will tell him how to make this promise of the Bible come true. Unfortunately, Johnny has forgotton that the Devil is the great deceiver. The Devil, in the guise of Mr. Beal, leads Johnny to believe he is that messenger from God and gives Johnny the strength and power, through a free meal, to conquer the world.
