1G- 6T is a fiction novel which with a few changes is partly the story of the author's life.
It is the story of a poor boy; but one who is very clever with a high IQ who escapes the council (projects) housing estate and leaves his estate buddies behind by passing to go to a high class college and be trained as a future air force officer and pilot. At the college he is educated to be one of tomorrows oficers and leaders and they transform him from a poor green caterpillar with no future in the projects to a beautiful talented butterfly that can fly into different worlds with ease. He joins the air force cadet squadron at 13 and with the college training he achieves selection to become a trainee pilot.
However when the country suffers a disastrous cut in it's defence budget; as it is in deep economic trouble; in consequence his selection for officer-pilot training is cancelled by the air force. So he has to think about another career to give his beloved fiancee a good life; much better than their parents have had.
The story is a love story against biased and unfair social class prejudices and the lack of oportunities for lower class (blue colar) children growing up in Britain where the two young lovers love each other to infinity. Also where the boy, now a man works and earns their future within a dangerous police service; that is riddled with corruption and maybe worse.
The boy-man joins the police service and after having a wonderful time at a colleagues wedding and being briefed of "the black holes" in a police career; he is called out in an emergency from his police-hotel room whilst full of good champagne. He saves a colleague-policeman from being stabbed; but gets knifed himself and has an hour to live bleeding profusely with a severed artery by a drunken reveller at an illegal drinking club.
Due to his bravery he is awarded a bravery medal and meets the soveriegn and is then selected for a new university course in Criminology. Whilst attending a BBQ of the town's VIPs; he meets a multi-millionaire and their friendship deepens. The trainee policeman is taught the aircraft's flight characteristics and starts to fly the millionaires executive aircraft with him and his wife going to high class exclusive Gala events in Europe with the millionaire and his wife. Like the very expensive and exclusive first night at "La Scala Milan Italy". His wife has to raise her game as a working (projects class) nice girl totally out of her depth with all these highly educated and very rich people; but she desperately loves her man and is determined never to loose this nice working class (projects) boy she fell in love with. Who has metamorphorsised into a star to give her a fabulous life or it's worth nothing to him he tells her as she is his sole reason to live and fight for them.
His career is enhance by his clever originality in new ideas in the police to catch criminals in drugs etc and he is noticed at high level as a rising star to be nurtured.
Whilst in vice he saves a class lady from falling into prostitution and they fall in love and conduct "a menage de tois d'amour" with himstill lovong his wife who he would never leave as he is an officer and gentleman; and they eventually all retire to Acapulco as billionaires.
He progresses up the police promotion poll and becomes the top policeman and a Lord of the country whilst being a director of several of his friend's companies and then the Chief Executive Officer of his friend's billion dollar business empire.
The story is of his two ladies who love him and are prepared to share him for his uniqueness. One is his lovely wife and the other is his lovely female friend- business partner and their joint battle to have a good life and loves and to save his life always whilst working in this very endemic corrupt police organisation. Where "accidents" can happen and a policeman can be stranded in a possible death situation with the back-up troops mysteriously getting delayed.
Our boy-pilot-man-policeman has been taught by the wonderful air force that when the going gets tough an air force officer-pilot gets up and gets going and survives to victory or dies as an officer and gentleman should do with his head unbowed.
