Are there any special requirements necessary to purchase the Media Alerts service?

Yes, you must already have purchased a press release writing service, such as the Book Marketing, Expanded Book Marketing, Newswire Plus Media Blast, or Press Release Composition service. Also, if you plan to announce an upcoming event in your release, make sure you allow sufficient time before the event – at least 25 days – for the completion of this service.

What are the steps involved after I purchase the Media Alerts service?

After you purchase the Media Alerts service, we will send a submission form questionnaire via e-mail, so that we can add specific information about your event to the press release. Once you have completed the questionnaire, you can return the form via e-mail, fax or mail. One of our press release specialists will update your press release and send it out for your approval via e-mail which you can expect within two weeks.

After you receive the press release, you should review the document for accuracy. You can send in your approval form if no changes are desired. If you have some changes to make, but do not wish to see the final version before it is distributed, you can send in your approval with the changes. If you send in the corrections only, we will complete the changes then send you a new press release to approve.

Once we receive your signed approval form, within about five to seven days we will compile a media list of at least 50 specific media outlets in the cities of your choice. We will then distribute your press release to these 50 media outlets. You will receive a copy of the media list via e-mail about five to seven days after the release is distributed.

How does the Media Alerts service help my marketing efforts?

This service allows you to promote your book by using a book related event as a "press worthy" reason to send out a release. Generating media excitement around your event not only publicizes the event itself, but it also increases your the book's visibility overall, encourages more interview requests which in turn helps boost sales.

You can use Media Alerts again and again to take full advantage of the connections Wordclay provides to media outlets in the United States. Even if you don't have a planned event, Media Alerts are a great way to continue marketing your book over an extended time.
