No, there is no color option. RTIR is a grayscale publication.

When does the publication reach the media, and how often is it published?

RTIR is published twice a month. To get the most for your advertising dollar, we suggest you run your ad once a month for a minimum of two consecutive months. Producers who see your ad more than once are more likely to remember you. Also, with the news constantly changing, your book may be more topical and relevant at different times.

What is the cost of running my ad in consecutive months?

You can purchase multi-issue ad space to achieve the strongest impact and maximize your results. Contact us to purchase the two-issue advertising program for $1,500, or the three-issue program for $2,175.

Can I change the content or design of the ad from issue to issue if I purchase a multiple-ad package?

No, you cannot change the ad. In order to offer the discounted rate for the multiple-ad package, RTIR must create only one ad, which it runs consecutively, once a month, for the specified number of months (unless there's a glaring error in your ad). And remember: in advertising, repetition is key. So running the same ad, rather than presenting a different ad every month, is more likely to yield better results.

When is the best time to advertise?

You should advertise at a time of the year that best matches the time that you want to be on the air. For example, if your book is available as of Feb. 1, you should begin advertising in the Mid-January or Early February issues. Or, you could advertise at a time when your book is of particular interest. Does your book tie into a season, holiday or event, such as Mother's Day, the World Series or during the Back to School frenzy? Interviewers are more likely to choose a guest that is associated with a hot topic, something in season.

How soon will my ad run after I purchase the service?

It depends on when you purchase the ad and we receive your materials, but on average, you need to sign up at least two months before you'd like your ad to run. It's also a good idea to sign up early, especially if you are targeting a specific time of year, because issues can sell out before the deadline.

How much response should I expect from my ad?

Response rates are impossible to determine because there are so many factors at play—the current hot topics, the time of year, the interest in your book's subject, and so on.
