Protect your original work! When your book is officially registered with the copyright office, you will have the right to seek damages if a party uses your work without your permission. It is your right to gain control and have the full force of protection for your valuable, original material.

Next Steps

Your book will be officially registered with the U.S. copyright office, issued a copyright number, and further protected under copyright law. After your book is completed, we will send two physical copies of your book to the U.S. federal copyright office in Washington, D.C. While the registration number is not printed in the book, you will receive a certificate of registration after the process is completed. The process typically takes six to 12 months to complete.
